It's not like Alaska isn't wilderness - it mostly is. But most Alaskans don't live in the wild. They live on the edge of the wild in towns with schools and cable TV and stores and dentists and roller rinks sometimes. It's just like anyplace else, only with mountains and moose.

Chinook
If you hang out at the airport long enough, every now and again something interesting will stop by ... a Chinook CH-47 was out doing maneuvers yesterday.
Hi Dick, I thought about you when I posted this. I've some good freinds who served there. The draft was disscontinued soon before it was my turn to go. I've often wondered how it would have changed my life. As it turned out, I was raising a family by my 19th birthday. Thanks for what you did back then.
