Wednesday nights throughout the summer we try and get a group together for a paddle on one of the local lakes. Usually it's Snail Lake just North of the cities, this week we hit Medicine Lake in Plymouth. Dave O (aka Tuliq man), Stace, Jill, and I managed to get a good paddle in before the sun went down ... ran accross this goose, she didn't seem real happy we were on her lake, I zoomed in with the camera, I didn't think she wanted me any closer. It's not like Alaska isn't wilderness - it mostly is. But most Alaskans don't live in the wild. They live on the edge of the wild in towns with schools and cable TV and stores and dentists and roller rinks sometimes. It's just like anyplace else, only with mountains and moose. Tom Bodett

Wednesday Night Paddle
