It's not like Alaska isn't wilderness - it mostly is. But most Alaskans don't live in the wild. They live on the edge of the wild in towns with schools and cable TV and stores and dentists and roller rinks sometimes. It's just like anyplace else, only with mountains and moose.

Snow Day
Had some odd looks from people while driving to the pool with the kayak on the roof of the plow truck. Lots of snow today! I did manage to take a 2 hour paddling break, a guy has to have priorities.

Hey I want a plow on my Jeep too! What a great way to get right to the water's edge!
So far, the snow plowing is helping to pay for the new kayak this spring .. come on snow!
