A spring Nor'easter......who'd a thunk it? I'd love to be riding up there with you but, even though I have a helmet now, I don't think I'd risk hearing shattering fiberglass and gel coat in water that big.

You did notice I said "check it out". The way the weather is shaping up, I don't think the drive up is even a good idea!

Ron - I checked the weather this morning for the apostle islands. I think even in a large boat a non sea kayak the waves and weather for today would even cause most exper. superior navigators to have some motion sickness problems.

Hey Courtney, 15 foot waves in the Apostles ... Devils Island ought to be rockin today!

the weather reminds me of weather you may encounter in oct. or nov. on the big lake

So Ron, did you go take a look at those near-shore conditions? How was it?

I ended up staying in town for the weekend. I'll be up in the Apostles next weekend for an early Spring trip. Hopefully the lake will behave next week!
