Spring Skiing

Spending the weekend in Hurley for some spring skiing at Big Powderhorn Mt. was just what I needed. The weather was fantastic! This was my first time on down hill skis for probably 20yrs ... I did do a couple runs down the bunny hill to see if I could still remember. I forgot how much fun down hill skiing can be! A few runs down "Upper Smoke" were even done by lunch time.

Sweet! I'm starting to think that I put away my snowboard a bit too early this season.

I promised my son I'd try my hand at snowboarding with him next season ... this could be good!

Snowboarding is great and it's much easier on the knees than downhill skiing. With that said, be prepared for a world of pain the first few times. Fortunately the learning curve isn't that steep.

Looked like fun stuff in the UP. Loveland was equally fun!

Glad to hear you're back on downhill skis! I took several years off also and am glad I got back into it. Speaking of snowboarding...I took a lesson last year and now I just need to go out and find the time to develope some skills. That looks like too much fun to pass up!
